Baby Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres plushies

I got to create a cute baby version of the three legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, and they turned out so cute!  
And the best part: they get to be a part of a Pokemon Go cosplay group! These are the cosplayers, make sure to pay their pages a visit!

They will be wearing their Pokemon outfits at Connichi in Germany on sunday the 18th of september!

I am soooo looking forward to seeing pictures of the complete group along with the plushies ;w; It’s such an honor to make plushies as a part of somebodys cosplay, and even a group

About Articuno:

The tail is fully poseable! Had to remake the ice crystals on its head twice because the first version was too small~ If I ever make another one like this I might go for even bigger pieces.

The crystals and its tail are actually a different color than the main body, but the camera couldn’t capture it. D: It has the shortest and roundest beak of them all, and the biggest eyes. I love that poofy chest fluff  

About Zapdos:

Back when I played Pokemon red on the gameboy this one was actually my least favorite of the birds x3 Though now I think that this plushie turned out to be the cutest out of the three ;w; So making the plushie kind of created a spirit connection there. xD

So anywyays, pretty much all pieces except the main body have iron-on interfacing on the inside to make them smooth. The other two birds have that too. I simplified the canon wing shape a bit to make it look more adorable. C:

About Moltres:

All the tiny flame pieces! I sure put a lot of time into making the wing and tail pieces, and I am very happy with how smooth and nice they turned out. The red and pink pieces are sewn together regularly and the yellow parts are added on top of them with a zigzag stitch. Lots of precision~ The tail is posable too!

The flame on his head started out as a huge Spitfire (MLP) - like mane design and then turned into a simpler, cuter flame in the end. I usually prefer to go with big, impressive pieces whenever possible but with these birds I tried out a different path for once C:

Nuuu, I forgot to measure them before sending them to their new homes. D: Their basic bodies all have a height of 20cm though! (Excluding the ice crystals on Articuno, Moltres’ flame and Zapdos’ front face height)

Making their body pattern took so many test pieces until I was finally satisfied with the shape, worth it C:

And of course Pokemon Go played its part in us being enthusiastic about making these cuties as well x3 Alex and I are in team Mystic, and we love playing! We regularly catch a ton of Magikarps on the way to Alex’ work.
